Having completed an actuarial science degree from Kent University at Canterbury in 1988, Richard went on to work for a global actuarial consultancy, gaining invaluable experience and advising trustees to some of the UKs largest pension schemes. He subsequently qualified as a financial adviser in 1994, started his own IFA business in 1998 and then gained regulatory approval for Wealthcare in 2003.
Richard’s main role is leading the Wealth Management team whilst holding the regulatory responsibilities as Compliance Officer and Anti Money Laundering Officer for the firm.

He qualified as an independent financial adviser in 1989 and from 1997 worked in partnership with a local insurance broker. In 2004, Stephen made the decision to start his own financial services company and became the Joint Managing Director at Wealthcare. Stephen is responsible for the overall vision and direction of Wealthcare and is proud that Wealthcare’s continued growth is via testimonial and recommendation.
Stephen’s mantra of every successful relationship is underpinned by strong communication, respect and honesty guides both the internal values of the business as well as the support of all clients.

In addition to his management responsibilities, Stephen provides direct advice to a number of high-profile clients and specialises in the Employee Benefits corporate market, SIPP / SSAS planning and Investment planning. His extensive advising experience and wealth of knowledge also allows him to impart more holistic guidance to clients.

Martin is an adviser to private and corporate clients with a particular emphasis on their investment and protection requirements. Martin has been an adviser for some years and with Wealthcare since 2010, he also advises landowners and property developers with regards to funding options and the various funding structures and joint ventures available to them including accessing equity partners if required.
Martin has always advised his clients on the basis of ‘understand your client’s needs and requirements’ by recommending what he would do if he were in their situation and that matches the Wealthcare mantra of being clear, concise and holistic in approach leading to the majority of Martin’s clients being referred by existing client’s.

Martin’s spare time is dedicated to his ever-burgeoning family and a love of sport in particular football being a life-long Manchester United fan and season ticket holder.

Amanda also manages our corporate events where she uses her creative insight and has a great understanding of the background work required to organise successful events.

Outside of work Amanda loves exercising. Amanda loves walks with Simba, her Lhasa Apso and practising both Pilates and Yoga. The yoga sessions are extra special to her as it’s her elder daughter who is the instructor. “It’s quality time spent together, she is a wonderful teacher, both engaging and inspiring and makes me so proud.”

In her spare time, Jane enjoys reading, movies and exploring new places with her husband, son and dog Penny, whether this be the Highlands of Scotland or the small seaside resorts of Devon.
Rachael’s knowledge gained over the years enables her to assist colleagues when dealing with various systems, providers and products. Rachael is always on hand to help her teammates and Wealthcare’s clients.

Rachael is a season ticket holder at Manchester United and loves watching live music, attending festivals and gigs as often as she can. She likes her arts and crafts, and enjoys making her own clothes. She is currently learning the art of crochet. She also loves to keep active by going to the gym.
Harry is working towards Chartered Financial Planner status and has passed his AF1 Personal Tax and Trust Planning exam.
Prior to joining Wealthcare, Harry worked in a variety of roles including Process Analysis in Banking, Vendor on-boarding Support for Government backed Business Technology Schemes and Third-Party Risk Analysis for multinational corporations.

When not at work Harry plays rugby for Rochdale RUFC. Having played for the club since 2014, he has risen through the various age groups and has been playing 1st team rugby for the past 10 years.

She joined Wealthcare in 2019 as an Employee Benefits Administrator coordinating and managing employee schemes such as Auto Enrolment, Group Pensions, Group Life Assurance, Group Income Protection and Group Critical Illness. She also assists with the day-to-day administration of both Individual and SME/Corporate PMI.
Sally has completed the CII Level 3 Certificate in Financial Services and has recently attained the CII IF7 (Healthcare Insurance Products) qualification.

Outside of work, Sally enjoys meals out and travelling. When not out and about Sally and her husband are busy decorating.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her little girl, supporting her at her dancing classes and competitions. In her free time she can often be found bargain hunting at a car boot sale and loves going for long walks in the countryside, city breaks and holidays to new places, especially sampling the local food and ciders!
